Geocache Description:

Family friendly series of caches around an approx 5 km gentle loop in Bellamont forest.

Cache is a micro - please watch out for muggles.

This cache is published in conjunction with fellow geocacher "stearman5" from Missouri, USA.

stearman5's ancestors came from County Louth and he wanted to have a cache
placed in Ireland as a tribute to them and his links to Ireland.

Henery Kelledy was born about 1-1-1851 in the town of Louth, county Louth, Ireland and died in that county as well. He married Mary Grimes on October 8, 1881 in Drummin. Together they had four known children.
Henery and Mary Kelledy are stearman5's Great Great Great Grandparents.
The last place of residence before immigrating to the USA was in Drogheda, Co Louth.

This is Mary Kelledy holding her Grand daughter.

Mary, by then a widow, immigrated to the USA and arrived on July 25th 1910. She and her children took the ship named “Arabic” which left the port of Liverpool. A German U-boat would sink the British passenger ship Arabic off the southern coast of Ireland in 1915, killing forty-four people.

They then travelled to Kentucky, staying for a few years, then onto Missouri before settling in Illinois.
