Zum 500. Todestag von Nikolaus von Flüe, am 21. März 1987, wurde die Bruder-Klaus Krypta eingeweiht.
Vierundzwanzig mächtige Pfeiler tragen hier das Querschiff der Basilika Ottobeuren. Das Glasfenster am Ende des Mittelschiffs zeigt Gottes Heilstaten für den Menschen.

Twenty-four mighty pillars support here the transept of the basilica of Ottobeuren. The stained glass window at the end of the central nave shows God's saving deeds for humans.

Wer sich die 1885 geweihte Lourdesgrotte ansehen möchte, kann dies mit einem kurzen Abstecher auf dem Weg zum Final verbinden.
Sie ist als Dank an König Ludwig I. von Bayern zu verstehen. Er hatte bereits 1835 erlaubt, dass die Mönche im durch die Säkularisation aufgelassenen Kloster wieder ihren Glauben praktizieren dürfen.
Mit Rollstühlen leider nur über einen größeren Umweg erreichbar.
Lourdes Grotto
If you want to have a look at the in 1885 consecrated Lourdes Grotto, this can be connected with a short detour on the way to the final.
The grotto should be seen as thanks to King Ludwig I of Bavaria. He had in 1835 allowed that the monks are allowed to practice their faith again.
