Geocache Description:

The cache is not at this location but you are within sight of the starting point

School is out for the summer and my youngest daughter was itching to go fishing.

For her birthday, I bought her a new rod and reel. It’s a pink Breast Cancer Awareness spinning reel and medium action 5’5” rod. She suggested we go fishing at Westlake in Gage Park.

As it’s been raining a lot recently I figured that the lake would be muddy so I countered with, “Let’s go triangulating instead.”

“That’s what I said,” she quipped. (You see, I like to use the big words with my kids) She thought I said ‘Try Angling’.

She grabbed her pole and I grabbed my Garmin.

We drove to a park a few blocks away from our house. (Until now it didn’t have a cache in it).

When I got out of the truck she spouted off, “Daddy, the lake is that way,” pointing North, toward Gage park.

“Yes it is,” I shot back, “we’re triangulating, not angling.".

She got huffy, crossed her arms about her chest and pouted.

I fired up my trusty GPSr, (I’ll bet you have one just like it. It gives me the absolutely correct cords every time, rain or shine and NEVER makes me walk in circles as I near GZ.)

I plotted my first waypoint at T7F11853 (point A), then proceeded to embarrass my daughter as I tromped down the road 109 feet bearing 267 degrees (point B).

As the dogs across the street barked their fool heads off bravely from their side of the chain link, I went walk about in search of the perfect hide.

Once I decided on a spot, I noticed that I was 261 feet from point A and 272 feet from point B. The midpoint between GZ and point B is 147feet from point A at a bearing of 205 degrees. (From point A).

We dropped the plastic decon box in a nifty spot and she asked, “How are they gonna get to that thing? I can’t even get my arm in there”

I told her that any Geocacher who figures out this puzzle IS worth their salt and will have brought with them their favorite TOTT and scribble stick.

Now, on the off chance that your GPSr is not as trustworthy as mine and enjoys watching you walk in circles, the North minutes at point A should end with 8 and the minutes West should end in 6
