Geocache Description:

I was on my way up to the highest point on Bowen Island, and thought to myself "there aren't enough caches long this trail". I had an extra container with me and decided that I should hide one. I found the perfect spot and placed it. The cache was so well camoed, that I had a lot of trouble finding when I decided to check on it again on the way back down, even with help from my GPS.

The cache is a few meters east off of the trail. The terrain to the cache when you leave the trail is quite rough, so make sure to watch your footing. Please make sure to be careful of the plant life when getting to the cache. When re hiding the cache, make sure to place it exactly where you found it so that I will be able to find it if I have to perform maintenance. The camo covering the cache is not attached to anything, so if you have to start ripping off moss from the rock, you are looking in the wrong place.

The cache is a small, round lock and lock. Please be gentle with the clasps; these containers are very easy to damage when being careless. There is a little bit of room for small tradables, but no room for a pen, so please bring your own pen. Even though it is difficult, please try to use stealth when finding the cache; caches do get muggled out here from time to time.

The trail this cache is on leads to the top of Mt. Gardner. Please make sure to bring proper foot wear, and all the necessary gear for a day hike. The grade isn't too steep, but the hike is consistently up hill. I would recommend not trying this hike if you haven't done hikes for a while. Make sure to enjoy the view on the north peak! Feel free to post pictures of adventures. Happy Hunting!
