Geocache Description:

THIS EVENT IS BEING HELD AT THE HATFIELD MCCOY PARK WHERE WE WILL EMBARK ON OUR FATHERS DAY RUN DOWN THE TUG RIVER. WE WILL MEET AT 9:30 AND HAVE DONUTS AND COFFEE BEFORE DROPPING THE KAYAKS IN THE WATER. THE EVENT WILL LAST FROM 9:30-10 SO DONT BE LATE IF YOU WANT TO JUST ATTEND THE EVENT AND WAVE AT THE KAYAKERS AS THEY LEAVE WHEN THE EVENT IS OVER.

TRANSPORATION TO AND FROM THE LAUNCH AND TAKE OUT POINTS WILL BE PROVIDED IN A COUPLE OF DIFFERENT MANNERS. YOU CAN DROP YOUR BOAT AT THE LAUNCH SITE AND DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE TO THE TAKE OUT POINT AND GET A RIDE BACK TO THE EVENT OR WE CAN GET YOU AND YOUR BOAT BACK TO THE LAUNCH SITE AFTERWARDS. IF YOU CAN HELP WITH EITHER, THAT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!

We will be posting several more Kayak events for the next three months so keep your eyes open for those to publish on the map in the next few days as well if this date is not a good date for you. This is a fun little event weekend to welcome a few cachers who plan to be here for a Friday, Saturday and Sunday night stay to complete the Tug River Kayak caches nearby.

We will have s'mores by the campfire on Friday evening at the location of #001 for the Hatfield McCoy House GeoTour. The Friday evening event will be hosted by Team Conway (GC5TKBK). We may even get to sample a taste of West Virginia moonshine by the campfire on Friday Evening.
