This cache is placed in memory of my father James R. Carter (Col. USAF Retired-Deceased) He served from 1941-1968. During WWII he was with the 56th Fighter Group, known as "Zemke's Wolpack" (61st Fighter Squadron). He became a fighter ace on July 4,1944.
