A simple drive by cache at the site of a former Fever Hospital.
You are near the crossroads here - mind the mini cachers.
The building here was once the Virginia Fever Hospital ( 1841 - 1848).
It was in use during the Great Hunger ( An Gortá Mór ) of 1845 - 1849 for patients suffering from fever, who were isolated from the destitute poor in the workhouse in Oldcastle.
The reason for this was to prevent the spread of the fever.
