I picked this spot because while I was doing owner maintenance on my nearby caches "D-Day Utah Beach" and "D-Day Omaha Beach", I looked over to the south and told myself that this spot needs a cache. After doing some research we found what looked like the best way up the hill. Off we went and did finally make it up to a great spot with a million dollar view.
The hide has fire roads just about all the way to ground zero. So I imagine you might be able to drive to it but we didn't know so we walked in from the Summit along the snow sheds and then up from there. The last 1/2 mile was steep but doable. Of course snow will bring in a whole other challange. Any amount of snow will increase the difficulty rating as the cache is at ground level.
We hope you enjoy this spot as much as we did.
Cache on!
