The Macleay River Bridge is a road bridge over the Macleay River & its floodplain. The bridge cost $618 million to construct & bypassed the townships of Frederickton & Kempsey, it has become Australia's longest road bridge at 3.2km. The bridge is constructed of 941 concrete beams supported by 93 piers. On 24/2/13 the bridge was opened to visitors for a preview walk & it was opened to traffic on 27/3/13.
