St.Mary's Cemetery was created as part of the breaking-up of Greystone Heath in 1868, with part of the provision of the partitioning being that a graveyard be provided to the local community. It fell into disrepair, but has recently been renovated by volunteers - the Friends Of St.Marys Cemetery - and is now looking lovely once more. It contains the local war memorial, as well as several military graves, and the graves and memorials of notable locals and relatives of historical figures.
The cemetery is bounded by metal railings, and in part by a line of trees. Over the years, the trees have grown up to, and in some cases around, the railings, leading to some interesting effects. The cache is accessed from the public footpath around the edge of the cemetery, so there is no requirement to go in - although I would recommend a little look around if you can spare the time.
