Geocache Description:

The Perambulation is a short walk through the village of Penketh, with 13 caches to find along the way. It takes in some of the history of Penketh, informing and entertaining along the way. If you start at Honiton Way Shops, there is ample free parking, and the route is circular, so you end up back where you started. The whole walk should take about 1.5 hours. You may need tweezers, and you will need your own pen for them all. And Number 7 may need an extra bit of kit...

The walk continues down the public footpath, around the cemetery. The other side of the footpath is the playing fields for Penketh High School. As the path turns the corner, the school buildings come into view. The long, low brick building (now with a second storey added) was known as "Lower School" when Big Firkin attended. Prior to being a school, this part of the building was originally the Penketh Fire Station, but it was converted as Penketh grew from a small rural village to be a large suburb of Warrington.
