Are you ever out and about and suddenly discover a beautiful spot that you might have been past many times before but never noticed? Or perhaps discover somewhere new that you never knew existed? A HIDDEN GEM...
Discovering hidden gems is one of may favourite things about Geocaching, and so I've decided to start placing some new caches so that other cachers can also visit these wonderful spots. I will carry some spare containers around with me and will place them as and when I discover somewhere new and exciting that is local to my area.
This first Hidden Gem takes you to somewhere which offers a "Million Dollar View". I have driven past this spot dozens of times and for some reason have never noticed this super little area available to sit and have a picnic.
You could do this as a cache and dash as there is nearby free parking, but you will get much more out of your experience if you take a picnic hamper with you, chill out for a while and enjoy the view! The cache will be impossible to retrieve if there are muggles who have beaten you to the particular picnic spot!
