The route passes the bowling green, which is the only remaining example of the social facilities provided for the employees of the old tannery, before crossing over the dual carriageway again to find a half-hidden pathway which once again crosses Penketh Brook.
The bridge here is one built to replace the original at the time the dual carriageway was built. The pathway however is much older, and used to form a route for local residents to walk to work at the tannery. The cache was originally hidden close to the remnants of the original Victorian bridge, but unfortunately these have recently been removed during renovation work when the path was resurfaced. The Cache now makes use of the replacement fence-line.
