Welcome to Reddie Point Preserve, home to great views of the St. John's River and a host of wildlife!
Cache is NOT located at the posted coordinates.
Follow the instructions below to find the prize you seek. This journey will take you over a little more than a half a mile along the main trail through Reddie Point Preserve. Keep your eyes open and you may be fortunate to spot one of the many species of animals that prefer to call this park home.
Letterbox Instructions:
At the posted coordinates you will find yourself on the edge of the parking lot at the northern-most entrance to the trail. Follow the trail in at a 120 degree bearing for approximately 800', continuing past the unmarked intersection until you run into the gopher tortoise den. From there reorient yourself to a 45 degree heading and continue on for another 600' until you reach the trail branch heading into the marsh. A great opportunity to stop and enjoy a fantastic view! Either follow the marsh trail around the short loop or continue on at a 90 degree bearing for another 135' until you reach the next intersection. You will then turn to a 180 degree bearing and press on for approximately 1000' until you reach the last trail marker post on your journey. Head west on the trail until you are exactly 100' from the post. You will then need to turn to a 240 degree bearing and make your way into the woods for the last 20'. You will be searching for an ammo can in a spot that should stand out to your well-attuned geosenses!
Please ensure to rehide the container to keep it out of sight of any passing muggles. Also, please be advised that this cache contains a stamp and ink pad, which are essential parts of the letterbox hybrid. These items are NOT SWAG so please do not remove them from the container!
