Silverdales best kept secret are a couple of footpaths leading to underpasses going under the A52, giving quick and easy access to Ruddington lane in Wilford. Before the A52 was constructed, the streets Fieldway and Barnfield in Wilford were part of Silverdale then Known as Ruddington lane estate until the A52 sliced through resulting in a couple of dwellings being demolished.
