The Ex-Shanklin 'Girls' (The Nickster (N), and Mum (H) of SPO and Mum), having been friends for 40 years (50 years in spring 2021!), placed some caches to celebrate.
This cache was hidden to mark the 50th wedding anniversary in May 2015 of M&A (H's parents).
They met and married on the mainland, but they lived in Lake or Shanklin ever since moving to the island in 1970, and within 1km of this cache location for most of that time.
Sadly, A passed away in November 2020. He and M quietly celebrated their 55th (Emerald) wedding anniversary in May 2020, so the cache has been re-named slightly to mark their last anniversary together.
Please exercise STEALTH, as the cache is overlooked by nearby buildings, and muggles can approach you from 3 directions.

Clockwise; GC3BCX6 Nostalgia - D&D’s Golden Wedding Anniversary. Near the cliff lift, turn right to go along Palmerston Road, signposted ‘Town Centre‘, and follow the direction tiles inset in the pavement.
Anti-clockwise; GC301QW Nostalgia - Gatten & Lake. Walk N and down to cross Hope Road and continue along the cliff top path ups and downs.
