Geocache Description:

The Dick Flint Natural Area

The Dick Flint Natural Area was dedicated at noon on June 6, 2015 (National Trails Day). The former Washington Water Company property on the north side of Harmony-Brass Castle Road has been named in honor of Mr. Flint's 20+ years of dedication in developing active and passive recreation areas in Washington Township. Over the last few years Warren Hills' students have been helping to develop a 1.9 mile hiking trail around the forested property. The trail passes an old farmstead that was used by the caretakers of the water company's springs and reservoir from the 1890's until the 1950's.

The 1.9 mile trail is not wheelchair accessible. The geocache is located near the trailhead not far from the parking area located on Harmony-Brass Castle Road. The location is snow friendly. This geocache was placed with permission from the Washington Township Recreation Department. You are looking for a well hidden bison tube approximately 5 feet off the trail. Please replace exactly as found.
