Best place to park is the parking area. Please stay out of the neighboring corn fields. Take a seat on the bench and enjoy the view. The silo and mountains here are beautiful. If you are lucky, you may see a bald eagle in the distance. I think there are lots of Red Winged Black Birds here, but I am no bird expert. Maybe someone will chime in. I wanted to place a cache further down the trail, but it is still closed due to the Sept 2013 floods. Hopefully one day this trail will be reopened.
