A meeting is planned at Vicksburg’s Lower Mississippi River Museum (LMRM) on 7/11/15. Still just thinking about coming? How about I tell you it will be a potluck with some of the south's finest geo-cooks in attendance? What, still not sold? I can tell you are a person of grace and shredness and you are waiting for the big line. Ok, here it goes. But wait, there's more. Here is the final coup de gras and this offer will not be repeated. I repeat, this offer will not be repeated. How about we have an event at the LMRM, with all the aforementioned potluck stuff, and you get to earn one of GroundSpeak's coveted Road Trip '15 Special Event Partaker Souvenir Thingies? And did I mention there is no charge to get in the Museum. Now that is a offer worth not repeating.
Now for the fine print. I have a meeting room reserved at the LMRM on July 11th. It is reserved from 10am until 2pm. They said potluck is fine and they even have a small kitchen that can be used. The main parking area is behind the Museum and there is a door downstairs (I added waypoints). The small conference room is downstairs and that is probably the one we will use unless a bunch of people show up. I was met with resistance when I mentioned BBQ grills. I guess someone had told them what it looks like when I grill.
If you will put your name and caching name and maybe the town you are based in on your "will attend" I will try to make up some name tags beforehand. Please put what you plan on bringing to the potluck in your "will attend" log also.
If you have never been to the museum, it is pretty cool. http://www.lmrm.org/ It has lots of info about life along the Mississippi. And the creme dela creme, the piece de resistance, the, uh, bee's knees is the actual Motor Vessel Mississippi IV that you can tour at your leisure.

Vicksburg is great caching town. There are close to a couple of hundred Traditionals around the town. There are also Multis, Virtuals, and Puzzles near the museum. For those that have already fished out the waters I will try to make sure there are some new ones placed between now and then.
