Geocache Description:

***PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION - THIS WILL HELP FIND THE LOGBOOK***

This cache is a slow park and grab close to one of Sale's iconic sporting complexes. Large cache with a small container for swaps. Short stroll to a nearby lake.

This cache will bring you to the Sale Tennis Club, located on the side of the Sale sporting complex. At times this is a high muggle area, so pick your times carefully.

Small container present for swapables, but please ensure nothing that will get damaged / run / melt if it gets wet as cache may be permeable to water.

The cache you are looking for is good for little ones to try and find as it is at ground level, but please be careful not to walk down the nearby hill as it is a little steep. There are also prickly fronds & the occasional bull ant in this spot, so watch those fingers & legs.

The surroundings around the Sale Tennis Club are home to a number of different sports in Sale. Baseball, Softball, Cricket and Football are all played nearby at different times of year.

There is parking close by, if you have enough time the nearby lake is a nice spot for a stroll, there are plenty of seats around to sit in the sun and plenty of little picnic areas, as well as some new exercise equipment installed by the council.  The Lake is home to a variety of birds and other wildlife, see how many you can spot.

This cache has been recently placed in a new hiding spot and may take some searching. It is very well covered and camouflaged. Please ensure you place it back exactly as you find it and disguise it well to ensure no passing muggles uncover it. The GPS co-ordinates are pretty much spot on and will lead you straight to its hiding place. Due to tree coverage we've been told phone devices are a little touch and go with the GPS, so please bare that in mind.

A little history about the club:  The Sale tennis club was established in 1951. The club has 14 courts, including 2 show courts and 4 plexipave courts. It is utilised often on many week days and weekends, so again, high muggle possibility.

Please access this cache via the Stephenson's Park entry. (Off Gutheridge Pde)

(Not your average container)

The logbook is indeed intact and has not gone missing, it is in the container so please have a good look before assuming it is not there, it requires you to think outside the square. Please replace the logbook exactly as you found it for other cachers to find. Any logbooks that are added to the cache will be removed as the cache requires you to search for the logbook. Remember if the logbook isn't signed your find may be deleted. If you are still having difficulty locating the logbook please let Charlie The Ant know.
