The original Kilmacud Church building is still in place on the Lower Kilmacud Road unfortunately now being used as a vegetable shop

However in the 1950s and 1960s due to the increase in population in the area this church was no longer big enough. Kilmacud was made a parish in its own right in 1964. The new church of St Laurence O'Toole was built on adjoining land and opened in 1969. The main entrance to the church is on the Upper Kilmacud Road.

The Church Micro IE series is open to everyone; if you have a church you would like to place a cache at then please contact THE_Chris throughGeocaching.com. This is to keep track of the numbers of the churches and give you the general format for the cache page. In the UK there are thousands in the series so we have some catching up to do! Also, if you currently have a published cache at a church that you would like to include in the series, get in contact and we can add it.
The Cache
A small magnetic tube placed opposite the main entrance to the church. On street parking available. Should be a quick cache.
