Geocache Description:

Part of a series of six geocaches by <Tuppers> and rachelsails. Placed in Hyde Park to celebrate the end of our first year at University!

Cache 3 - The Picture House

The Hyde Park picture was opened in Nov 1914. The first film to be shown at the Picture House was "Their Only Son". 

In 1989 Leeds City Council stepped in to stop the closure of the picture house and it is now owned by the council as part of the "Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House" brand.

The Picture House is a short walk from the cache in the popular Hyde Park Student Area.
