This cache is placed in conjunction with the Country Legends 2015 (WestCan5) mega-event in Dauphin, Manitoba. In promotion of the mega-event, caches have been placed along a number of highways leading to the host city. Manitoba Provincial Trunk Highway #10 begins at the United States (North Dakota) border and travels ~270 km north to Dauphin (and well beyond). The theme for the trail on this stretch of highway is “Manitoba Legends”. From here to the Town of Erickson, caches will highlight “legendary” Manitobans from various fields. Some names will likely be familiar to you, but perhaps you never knew they live(d) in this province; some will probably be new names altogether. If this is your first letterbox: this cache is just like a traditional geocache, but it also contains a stamp and inkpad. Cachers with their own stamps and stamp books use the stamp in this cache to stamp their own books, and leave their own stamp prints in this cache’s logbook. Whether or not you have your own stamp, you may log this as you would any other cache.
