Penobscot Shores was acquired by the Orono Land Trust in 1990 yet few people know about it! It's a beautiful location where one can relax and enjoy the serenity of the river. Come in the spring or early summer (before the height of plant growth) and you will find ample sand, fun for the whole family :)
Entrance to the Shores is by a short and steep trail beside where the culvert passes under Penobscot St.
Beware of poison ivy growing higher up bank (closer to road) and note that the cache is NOT hidden in location that would require seeker to touch ivy.
