Garmond is a small, linear village in the parish of Monquhitter, 7 miles from Turriff. From its high vantage point it boasts great views of the surrounding countryside.
I suggest parking in Garmond itself and walking the triangle in either direction but all caches in this series can be cache'n'dashed by parking in nearby gate entrances.
A 'waulkmill' played in important role in early woollen cloth making. 'Waulking' is the process of cleansing the cloth to remove oils, dirt and other impurities, it also makes the cloth thicker and stronger.
