As complete space buff's we had the great opportunity to watch one of the last space shuttle launches from Cape Canaveral in 2010. The celebration, excitement and sheer noise of watching a live launch from 6 miles away is an amazing experience!
Each mission, from the early Apollo or Gemini missions or the later space shuttle missions on Atlantis, Endeavour or Discovery, was a celebrated occasion and, as a link to early military traditions, a mission patch was a key part of that comeraderie of launching oneself into space!!
The final co-ordinates can be found at the following:
South 36 A.(B*C)+10
East 174 D.(E*F)+G+H
In case you were wondering - patch B is the mission that we watched live!
