This series of caches has been placed in conjunction with Maritime Mega Moncton (M3) along the popular Dobson Trail. It is intended to provide visitors to our region an opportunity to experience the Dobson Trail and to give local cachers another reason to return. The Dobson Trail is a continuous footpath through the Albert County wilderness stretching 57.75 km from Riverview NB to the northern boundary of Fundy National Park near Alma NB. This series covers approximately 10 kilometers of the trail plus an additional kilometer along the Sand Hill Side Trail.
The Dobson Trail is a true hiking trail with rough terrain; the footpath is largely covered with exposed tree roots and is quite overgrown in some areas. It is boggy in places and while sturdy bridges cross some of the creeks others have only makeshift bridges over them. It is strongly recommended that you wear sturdy hiking boots, preferably water-proof. And do not forget your bug spray (this is very important!).
The trail along which this series is hidden is well marked with blue blazes on the trees, however, it does take some sudden turns. Please ensure that you can see the blue blazes along the route that you are following.
Enjoy the spectacular woodlands as you cache the Dobson Trail!
