Ett litet troll har bestämt sig för att bosätta sig på en träsk-ö mitt i Puttefnaskerskogskungariket.
Ingen av de puttefnaskerprinsar och puttefnaskerprinsessor som (modigt, men dumdristigt) försökt besegra trollet har återvänt - kanske har de hamnat i trollets gryta.
För första gången på trehundra år vädjar puttefnaskerprinsessan Jakobina till jättarna utanför kungarikets gränser:
"Hjälp oss, o jättar! Ty vi är pyttesmå, och ni är jättestora. Trollet är stort för oss - men för trollet är ni stora. Trollet är inte riktigt pyttesmått för er - för det är ju vi - men det är fortfarande litet. Det är väl lite mitt emellan kan man säga. Hum."

A small troll has decided to settle down on a swamp island in the middle of the Pixie forest kingdom.
None of the pixie princes or pixie princesses who have (bravely but foolishly) attempted to defeat the troll has returned - they may have ended up in a troll's stew.
For the first time in three hundred years the pixie princess Jakobina pleads with the giants outside the kingdom's borders:
"Help us, o giants! For we are tiny, and you are huge. The troll is too big for us - but to the troll, you are big. The troll is not quite tiny to you - because, well, we are - but it is still small. Let's say it is somewhere in the middle. Hum."
