Furukawa mining nobility at the time of prosperity of the Ashio copper mine, is a guest house that was used for entertaining and living quarters and invited government officials.

古河鉱業が足尾銅山の隆盛時に華族、政府高官などを招いて接待や宿舎に使用していた迎賓館です。大正初期に改築された建物は外観は洋風、内部は和洋それぞれを用いた木造建築で、館内には1924年（大正13年）製のピアノや、国産第1号のビリヤード台もあります。
