Lord Cadogan: As I do not like my friends being sad, this one is taking it's last breath!

Again, I was glad with those that were able to make it out and enjoy this park.

Geocache Description:

A geocaching event to learn about this crazy game, sharpen your skills or share your knowledge with those willing to learn.

This is a introductory "class" on the sport/game called geocaching that will take place from 10:00 to 12:00. In the time that we have, we will attempt to cover many of the aspects of geocaching so that your should be able to go out and start finding caches. There are several caches already located in New Glarus Woods State Park and we will have some temporary caches placed just for this event.  We hope to use them to show different type of containers, hiding methods, etc.  We will also have experience geocachers present to help new people and also share information.  Please bring your handheld GPS, if you own one or can borrow one.  The Wisconsin DNR will have a couple that we will be able to also loan out during the event.

Geocaching events are good times to meet other geocachers and ask questions and hear their stories that they tell.  Most of the stories can be rather funny.

The Geocaching event is sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, New Glarus Woods State Park.

A Wisconsin State Parks vehicle sticker will be required for entry into the park. If you do not have one, you can purchase either a annual sticker or a day pass at the park.
