Geocache Description:

The Gizmo Trail #9 - "Chloe"

Cache #9

Chloe is our Princess cat.

One weekend many years ago we decided to attend the Edmonton Cat Show....bad idea for two animal lovers. We walked around, saw some shows and then we went to look at all the show cats in their cages. As my wife went down one aisle I was going down another that was lined with adoption ready shelter cats and I spotted Chloe.

I immediately fell in love and sent my youngest son to go find mom. I found a volunteer and let her know I was interested in seeing her and waited by the cage guarding our cat! The cage was opened up shortly and I was given Chloe to hold...and I never let go. My wife soon walked up and immediately said "That's our cat!"

We adopted her that day but couldn't take her home until the following day as she was to be shown in a few more contests. We are happy to say Chloe is a prize winning cat! (I won't say which prize - does the placing really matter??)

It wasn't good timing to bring her home as we found out... Harley (Check out his cache: Harley Barley) our orange kitty, brother to Jean-Luc passed away that night. It was hard not to think one thing had something to do with the other...but she was a healthy cat and in no way could have passed something on to Harley...he simply passed away in his sleep.

Chloe is a very private cat and only comes out when she wants attention. She will flee the area if anyone comes over and she HATES Scooter, often hissing at him and growling whenever he comes near. I seem to be the only one that she won't run away from, often waiting for me to head to bed then flopping around on the bed for pets, or following me downstairs to lie atop my computer desk waiting for scratches (how do they know when you get on your computer??)...she is a very affectionate cat with one of the loudest purrs I've ever heard. You'll have to take our word for it that she lives here because if you ever came over you'd never see her...

You are looking for a small micro hidden in a place that can be very busy at times and very dead at other times. Use good geosense.
