Here is another section of Old Gravois Road. This piece is several miles long and ends here where the road used to cross Bear Creek and go into House Springs. House Springs gets its name from Adam House who settled this area in 1796. The once lovely, clear flowing spring "powerful enough to turn a mill wheel" is located near Highways 30 and MM. Unfortunately, local retail development and road rerouting has taken away the beauty. For more information on Old Gravois Road, check out a book titled "Along Old Gravois Road With A Detour or Two" by Della Lang.
