You are looking a cache in a 400ml sistema container. The cache contains a log, pen and some tradeables that can be swapped. Try not to get distracted by the stunning views but do take a minute to sit down and take them in.
The cache is located at Newhaven, the gateway to Surat Bay! It is just a short walk from the carpark at the Shoe Tree. This cache is near water so caution should be taken at high tides and you may encounter some of the local wildlife. This is on a walking track behind Newhaven Holiday park, (a lovely little spot to stay) and if you continue along the walking track you come to the beach and most likely will encounter NZ sea lions and on the rare occasion yellow eyed penguins.
