This cache serves as sort of a triple feature. First of all it serves as #9 in my rail fan series. This old Texas Midland depot is sort of a sister to my other geocache at the Texas Midland depot in Terrell. This depot however is still in operation hence its second purpose being to bring you to the working depot of the Blacklands Railraod which is a short line that operates here in Sulphur Springs. And as a third purpose it brings you to the Woodrow Wilson Mini Park. Probably not the Woodrow Wilson you were thinking but you can learn more at the cache.
The park came into play as I searched for a suitable location for the cache. I wanted a location an appropriate distance from the depot but which would also give cachers a good view of the station. The "Mini Park" next to the fire station turned into the perfect spot. The down side to this location is traffic as well as the fire station and other businesses so stealth is a pretty crucial thing.
