A bison container in a tree near the water
A series of six caches on Ten Mile Creek, a tributary of the North Fork of the St. Lucie River. Two are above the little spillway dam going west a couple tenths of a mile. The other four are below the spillway and a short portage across the road and heading east about a mile to the furthest cache. When I placed the caches I paddled back upstream to the 10 Mile Creek Parking area but the east-most cache was close to the LeStrange Property and the Becker Preserve Property both off Selvitz Rd and a two car start/finish kayak trip might work out very well. If you are kayaking back the way you came you better be ready for a good workout as there will be a pretty stong current below the spillway . I saw plenty of fish and birds and one big splash that might have been an alligator. There are a few hangup spots either with sunken branches, shallow sandbars and one spot had a sunken boat. Bring plenty of water and maybe some bug spray just in case. Good Florida fun!
