I know this area very well and spent many happy hours as a kid cycling across the pea fields for ice creams at the farm :)
My great, great grandfather was gamekeeper here. The remains of his cottage can still be seen in the gardens of the house on the corner of Red Street.
I suggest starting at the duck pond (don't miss Daddy Lamb's cache there). You can feed the ducks and let the little ones run about in the play area behind. Then walk up the path beside the pond and through the woods.
If you look closely, you can see the location of one of Santa's grottos in the woods. Magically, the snow stays all year round!
