Geocache Description:

The Cache

This is a recycled cache which was too well liked to be completely removed, therefore some of you may recognise it from a nearby location. This may reduce the difficulty for you, but you did find it the first time around!!!

Hopefully it will attached a few new favourite points and if you recognise the cache and favorited it previously, I’d appreciate if you could reallocate your point to this one.

Hillsborough Forest Park

This is a mixed coniferous and broadleaved forest planted within the walls of the large park, once part of Hillsborough Demesne, previously owned by the Marquis of Downshire.  Further details about the forest, including how to get there can be found at WalkNI.com. http://www.walkni.com/walks/255/hillsborough-forest-lake-walk/

The Series

These caches are to replace the Strangely Curious series that were set in 2008 and have now seen better days. This series has been inspired by a renewed love for the area following the addition of our new pup, called Tara, which has seen us getting off the beaten track once again, hence the name of the series. The caches have been placed on or near our regular walking routes, which predominately follow the animal and dog walkers’ trails. Please enjoy, but a word of caution, remember the caches are not on waymarked paths under tree cover so navigation will be that little bit more difficult and conditions under foot maybe challenging at certain times of the year.
