This is quite near a very nice new Village of Fayetteville park, Canal Landing Park, close to the historic Limestone Plaza triangle, and next to the creek. A great new playground area for young children (or grandchildren) to have fun. A formal exercise circuit along the paths, for the grown-ups.
Some extended nice hiking trails into the woods, too. Also going along the creek and moving into the Erie Canal trail system. So if you’re inclined to spend some healthy time outdoors this can be a good place to start your excursion.
Don’t necessarily want to suggest a choice of either the nearby coffee shop or tavern to you, but there’s another usually-quiet parking area near a trailhead back there.
