This cache has been archived.

runningmap: It was getting vandalised where it was, and I've moved house further from the cache which makes it more difficult to check on.

Geocache Description:

Moat Park in Hawick is a wee hidden gem which most visitors to the town won’t find. This very short multi-cache combines a bit of history with a fabulous view.

The co-ordinates given are for the main entrance to the Park NOT the cache location. You need to visit 3 places within the park which will enable you to complete the co-ordinates for the cache. A = Find the model trebuchet by walking into the park from the park entrance and add up the numbers on the date it was installed. B= Adjacent to the trebuchet the school gates have green flags on them, how many ? C= Climb to the top of The Mote and count the bolts attaching the bench to it’s legs. Admire the view when you're there. The cache is at: N 55.25.0A9 W 002.47.C9B Lots of parking available on the nearby streets apart from when the schoolchildren are being dropped off or picked up from school. The Mote itself isn’t accessible for wheelchairs or buggies and you should take care of young children on the top as it’s a steep drop all around. You're looking for a small magnetic box, no need for tweezers but BYOP.
