Free parking at suggested parking spot. If you decide to use the lower parking lot there is a fee. The road to the free parking area is a little rough in a couple small spots but still very easy to get to in a minivan. No 4x4 needed. 3 terrain is for the last part of the trail. This is a very pretty lake to see.
