Geocache Description:

Shoubu(Sweet-flag) castle was  constructed  in 1455 by Noritsuna Kaneda and was maintained as a defense network for Uesugi with adjacent Kisai castle. It is said that the castle was named because the completion of the construction was the Sweet-flag festival of May 5. It became the abandoned castle, and Naito ruled it afterwards. Ruins of Shoubu-castle lose all by recent farmland creation, and the monument of the ruins of castle and the encampment gate only stay now. 16,000 Sweet-flag stocks are planted in the ruins of castle as a sweet-flag garden, and the 21th Lavender and Sweet‐flag Festival is held in June.
I recommend visiting here in June when the flower is in full glory.
The cashe is hidden in the center of the Sweet-flag garden.
