Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed by Kingston St Mary Church of England Primary School. Our school motto: We all strive to do our best, as we live, love and learn together.

We chose this place because people young and old come to play here. This place is special to us because we play wide games, have parties and have even had a Gruffalo picnic here.

Dogs are welcome on the path but look out for the signs.

Please bring your own pen/pencil.

Please park on Greenway (ST 21675 29627) in Kingston St Mary. All our caches are a short walk from this road.

You are looking for a small camouflaged cylindrical container.

Please note that parking here during school run times is not advisable (8.30-9.15 and 2.40-3.30) as the road is very busy with parents picking up and dropping off.

As part of our e360 accreditation, we are using our ICT skills to make links with the community by placing caches in and around our local area. We have chosen special places with links to our school. For more information about our school, please visit our website http://www.kingston-st-mary.somerset.sch.uk

This field was given to the village to commemorate the sacrifice of the men of the parish who gave their lives in the Great War. The village playing field offers fabulous views from the Quantock Hills to the North, Wellington Monument on the Blackdown Hills and the lovely tower of St Mary's in the village of Kingston St Mary.

Permission to place this cache has been kindly granted by The Playing Field Trustees.

We initially added trackables to this cache, one for each of our special birds. Each class at school is named after a local bird; Owls (reception and year one), Buzzards (years one and two), Robins (years three and four) and Woodpeckers (years five and six), and Kingfishers (our after school club). We asked the first five finders to take a trackable so we can see how far our birds manage to fly! We are going to follow the progress of our 'trackable birds' during assemblies in school.

The children will also look forward to reading your online comments during our assembly time.

Congratulations to Nevereddy for FTF.
