How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed by Kingston St Mary Church of England Primary School. Our school motto: We all strive to do our best, as we live, love and learn together.

You are looking for a small bison tube

Please bring your own pen/pencil. A pair of tweezers will also be useful. Please place log roll and cache back as found. There is no room for swaps/trade items.

Parking is available on Greenway (ST 21675 29627) in Kingston St Mary. All our caches are a short walk from this road.

Please note that parking here during school run times is not advisable (8.30-9.15 and 2.40-3.30) as the road is very busy with parents picking up and dropping off.

As part of our e360 accreditation, we are using our ICT skills to make links with the community by placing caches in and around our local area. We have chosen special places with links to our school. For more information about our school, please visit our website http://www.kingston-st-mary.somerset.sch.uk

We chose this place because it has both a postbox and a red telephone box. In the age of satellite communication it is great to remember how we communicated before the use of the World Wide Web. We come here for our history!

Until 1969 Fulford Corner had a public house. In 1968 Whitbreads acquired Starkeys, a West Country brewery which owned two pubs in Kingston St Mary. They decided to improve The Swan and sell the Farmers Arms. Since then it has been a private house. Fulford Corner is home to a red tephone box and a post box.

Permission to place this cache has been kindly granted by The Parish Council of Kingston St Mary.

The children will look forward to reading your online comments during our assembly time.

Congratulations to HubbyWalks and BusterWalks&Girly2 for FTF.
