We will be starting at the Southern end of the wash for our cleaning chores. The meeting spot is at the NE corner of North Ridgeway Road and Pima Street. Parking is on the east side of North Ridgeway Road along the apartment complex wall. Just look for a bunch of folks hanging around near the wash.
The average temperatures for this date range from 73°F to 99°F
Trash bags and water will be provided. We also have a few trash pickers for your use. You may want to bring a pair of leather or gardening gloves, sunscreen, hat, bug spray, waders, rain boots, umbrellas, snacks, and any other things you might need.
CITO History: On March 25, 2006 geocachers from all over Southern Arizona met for the first time to take on the duties of cleaning the Grant Road to Pima Street section of the Alamo Wash and have done an excellent job at keeping it clean. We were officially recognized on September 9, 2006 through Tucson Clean and Beautiful as having adopted the wash and a sign was erected to let the public know.
After completing the cleanup, we will take a group picture at our sign and then have the ceremonial Passing of the Bull. Don't know what the passing of the bull is, come join us to find out!
We look forward to seeing you
