V @Twin Oaks down by old school yard for the ELTC Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Shell Leavers: The hiding spot for this cache was the V between the two oak trees. The V has closed 7 feet up which has made it difficult to hide a cache that could be easily accessed. Perhaps someone else could hide a cache in the area, maybe W'sO.

Geocache Description:

There was once a Euclid school here and some of the maps still show it. You're looking for a small lock and lock.  Now it is a field of mostly clover.  I don't know what Euclid is going to do with this green space but I hope it might be a community garden.

Wow! The ELTC hit a grand slam on this one! FTF honors go to FaFireFighter, STF to Rhino34, Third to find to JimC61 and a homer scored by JoesBar for the back story to this cache site, "Russell H. Erwine elementary school was the name. I attended. It opened in the mid 1950s. It closed in 1977. A mere twenty years. It was used for other things for many years then abandoned about four years ago. The city finally razed the building in 2013. Then they left the land as is. I have asked council members many times about the land and received no response."

The series of caches for the ELTC has one thing in common, they can be found in under an hour (including drive time to and from) if you work or live in Euclid.  This is the 45rd in the series.

On the day I submitted this there were four members of the ELTC that are having remarkable streaks   Brownstown GeoDawgs had 150 days in a row and has a new record going. chfshome was at 307 and is hoping to get to 366. Shell Leavers made it to their goal of 366 and are now at 452. The brightest streaking star is TyroneShoelaces who has cached through not one, but two brutal Ohio winters and was at 626 AND JUST CAN'T STOP. Good luck guys, I hope this helps.
