Geocache Description:

This is a puzzle cache.  There is no container at the posted coordinates.  You will need to solve the puzzle to obtain the final coordinates.

I have always enjoyed reading.   My preferred genre when I was younger was mystery, and as I grew older, it grew to include the inevitable spy and thriller novels.  I had never read a lot of science fiction or fantasy, well, except for Tolkien's novels.   A friend shared a few books with me, and in those books I found an author and series that I found really enjoyable.

The series is more fantasy than true science fiction.   The main character is the 'hard-boiled' detective living in a world inhabited by human and non-human characters, filled with swords and sorceries.  The detective provides the brawn, while his associate, known as the Dead Man, provides most of the brains.

The final coordinates are determined by the following, which are based on information about the particular author, or his works.

N 30 (29)(47).(50)(79)(50+51+29) W 097 (50)(50+51).(26+6)(28)

You can't determine the final coordinates without finding the author.   However, if you can't determine the author, puzzling out the meaning of the numbers might also give you some more clues to identify the author.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Please remember to bring a writing utensil, as it is log only.
It should go without saying, but I will anyway: Please don't include the author name in your logs, even if encrypted.
