Geocache Description:

The first in a relaunched series based on the original Rio's Ramble.  As before, this is not a series for the faint hearted, especially in the winter.  Expect mud, nettles, brambles, traffic noise, golf balls whizzing past your head, and possibly some pheasant shooting.

All the caches have been relaunched, giving a total off 24 in the series, plus a bonus, over a distance of about seven miles.

Some of the cache hides will be familiar to those who have walked the series before, but I have changed and revamped containers, added more in, moved the bonus and wanted to give cachers the chance to appreciate the walk at a different time of the year. I have attempted to put caches in places which lead you around the circuit via the public footpaths and bridleways. All caches are accessible from the paths (some with a bit of scrambling).

There is also the opportunity to collect other caches on the way: GC43MEB By the Farm Track, GC17FDH Peters Got a Way to Go, GC15TJG Swan Wood Stock, GC3W6H2 Water Tower 12 Stock, GC1F76Q But Is It Art??, GC1H8QV Lady Grove and GC1XE2P But is it Art II??.

The series is named after my faithful geohound, who has found a lot of caches with me.

You will need to collect the numbers for the bonus cache on your way round the series; these will be written at the front of the log sheet/book, as well as inside (some of) the lids of the caches. Please take your own pencil, as some of the caches may not have one.

Parking for the series is opposite this cache, or on the verges nearby.  Beware of the speeding traffic along this road; keep geokids and the geohounds safe.

Once you have replaced this cache, follow the road across the A12 bridge and take the bridleway on the left.
