Geocache Description:

One of the most common ways to access the Internet is Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is short for Wireless Fidelity, a play on the term Hi-Fi meaning High Fidelity audio. Wi-Fi was developed in the early 1990s with the first version, dubbed 802.11b becoming available in 1997.

To connect to a Wi-Fi network, one must first locate the network's service set identifier known as its SSID. The SSID is used to identify the network. If the network is encrypted to prevent eavesdropping the next step is to enter the network key or password. A password ensures nomuggles are able to connect without your permission. Once the password is entered, one can simply browse the web using any browser they wish and obtain what they're looking for.
