Stratford Hall was the home of the Lees of Virginia. Two of the sons were signers of the Declaration of Independence. Robert E Lee was the grandson of this family and son of "Lighthorse Harry Lee". The property consists of approximately 1,900 acres and has numerous trails, the restored home and a grist mill. Spend the day visiting this historical site AND find a number of geocaches. Some are on difficult trails and others are pretty easy to get to.
If you wish to visit the grounds, there is an admission fee and if you chose to visit the house, it is slightly higher. There are cabins which can be rented and a restaurant on the property. SPECIAL NOTE; JULY 4, 2016 THERE IS NO ADMISSION FEE FOR THE GROUNDS OR THE HOUSE. Don't miss this opportunity.
Regular admission fee is $7.00 for grounds access. PLACED WITH PERMISSION
