This cache is a painted screw-top container. It is'nt on the ground. It is set back off the main highway, so find the dirt road. It is hidden amongst the magnificent Australian native Xanthorrhoea johnsonii. According to Wikipedia, this is the best known common name for the "Blackboy". based on the proported similarity of the trunked species to an Aboriginal Boy holding an upright spear. Some people now consider this name to be offensive, or at least belonging to the past, preffering "Grasstree" and for it's resin yeilding species. We think Blackboy is a beautiful name for this plant, and keeps the Aboriginal people connected to this wonderful land. We hope all searching for this cache will stand among them in awe. In the background you will see the hillsides of the Alberton Bush, where there are still some giant gum trees to be seen. A wonderful place for a picnic and to give our canine friends a good run.
